it never fails

when i am 90% finished with a crochet project, i become obsessed with starting something new. this leads to a whole lot of wip’s and not a lot of finished products. i am currently working on a big shawl to keep in the office, and i have about 10 rows left. of course, since each row is longer than the last, it feels like it is taking FOREVER at this point. but i WILL NOT let myself start a new project until i finish!!! even then, i should at least finish the cowl scarf i started knitting last winter so i can free up my circular needles for something new. and i should finish the larger version of the felted tote i started last winter. and the baby blanket i started…five years ago.

or i could make these. yeah, i think i’ll do that!

About Liv

i have a lot of hobbies. i cook and bake – usually, from scratch. i paint, though not as often as I would like. i love to make pottery on the wheel, though this hobby fell by the wayside while I was in grad school. now that I’ve finished, I’m looking forward to potentially getting back into ceramics and devoting more time and energy to all of my hobbies. my mom got me hooked on refinishing garage sale or thrift shop furniture into beautiful, rich pieces for the home. and my true love is crochet – i love the feeling of achievement in taking a ball of yarn and a hook and turning it into a beautiful afghan or purse or set of coasters. in some way or another, all of these hobbies center around making things – thus, creation nation.
